Dagar and Ganna watched the newcomers from the eastern island as they were greeted and welcomed to the gathering. They had been treated hospitably, and had given their gift. Now they looked to one another. Their other fellows didn't suspect anything and didn't notice their concern.
Ganna approached the newcomers and Xion's followers. "On behalf of the Xy'caerii, I must intercede in this discussion. We are ill prepared for your group's arrival, and have no gift to offer you. As our dealings are done, we should depart, allowing the Xionites the opportunity to share their hospitality freely."
"Xionites, you are invited to join us at our home in seven sunset's time to engage in a share of our hospitality at Valdjag'r's invitation." She looked at the leader of the newcomers, "Orangkami, our god has said nothing to us regarding you. If the Xionites ally with you, however, I see no reason the invitation should not extend to you as well."
Turning to her people, Ganna raised her hand and spoke, "Xy'caerii, we leave. We have delivered our gift and Valdjag'r's invitation. We have enjoyed plentiful hospitality. We must return to our home now and prepare to return the same. Come!" She moved with the grace of an eagle toward the edge of the village. In turn her people followed, Dagar brought up the rear, watching the reactions of the Xionites and Orangkami.
