How do you get an avatar? I see some people have them but where do you go to choose?

There's a button labeled Profile next to Log Out that you have to click on. On the next page, there will be a line under where you just clicked that has links for your information, preferences,signature,avatar and watched topics. Click on avatar. Then you can either link or upload an avatar or the last option is looking through our avatar gallery. Hope that helps and welcome to the forum.
